Case Study

Schiller Place Town Homes

Relationship

The original scope of work was completed in 2016. The job brought Raincoat Roofing to the city of Chicago at a unique location on the North side. This was not a typical replacement job, because there were over 50 plus separate roofing sections, between 2 locations at 2 separate addresses, that needed to be replaced and/or rehabbed with several other contractors of other trades. Matt Baker was the lead salesmen and created the proposal and contract between Raincoat Roofing and Property Solutions Chicago.

Project Highlights

As stated above, the (2) separate locations had a combined (43) new townhomes that needed to either be rehabbed or replaced. This included flat roofing, the underlayment below recreational decking, and penthouses that were split between (2) separate addresses. Each address created several unique options for Raincoat to work with, making the tear-off and hauling of debris and garbage more interesting than a basic tear-off because of an adjacent high-rise building.

Unique Experience

  • 43 separate townhome style units between the two addresses
  • Unique tear off set up and flow of removal because of the location and nearby buildings
  • Worked with several other trades in conjunction to complete project; including HVAC, sheet metal, masonry, and carpenters
  • The area was bustling with tenants and regular community activity every day in the Old Town neighborhood of Chicago, IL
  • Qualified for 20-year warranty by manufacturer
